"This financial support will make a great difference with the balance of my education and my financial need to work, as I enter my final year at NSCC. Receiving this bursary helps me in many ways. Most importantly, it helps me pay for my tuition, allowing me to use my savings to purchase gear, electronics, books, and other items that will be needed for the course, as well as paying my essential bills."
"While in high school, I had the opportunity to be in the automotive program through the Career Exploration Program. In this program I learned many skills that helped me make and plan for my future goals. Welding was one of the skills taught in the program, it was the one I enjoyed the most. This is what led me to my decision to further my education and to apply to the welding program at NSCC. After just completing my first year of studies, I am even more eager to finish my education and earn my place in the trades industry.
My goal is to graduate NSCC this school year with high marks and with excellent references from my apprenticeship, my teachers and any mentors along the way. My next goal will be to become a Red Seal welder. Your financial support has and will directly contribute to the start and finish of my education at NSCC. It allows me to think ahead of the possibilities of what I can and will achieve.
I'm grateful to once again be selected as a recipient of this bursary for the second year in a row. This support will make a great difference with the balance of my education and my financial need to work as I enter my final year at NSCC. This award is even more meaningful to me after spending the summer working with your company. While my role in your company didn't involve welding, the experience has taught me the value of hard work, dedication and teamwork, and has motivated me to keep pursuing my career and future goals. Thank you for continuing to invest in students like me. Your generosity, and support is invaluable and plays an important role in my journey. I look forward to my next steps in completing my studies and applying the skills I've gained as I move toward a future career in welding."
