On the horizon
As we enter the 2025-26 academic year, we continue to embrace new opportunities to deepen our impact, while building on the incredible momentum of the past year. We remain inspired by the community of support rallied around our students, alumni and the dedication to our vision of a Nova Scotia where the educational journey is equitable, safe and accessible to all.
As we look ahead to the emerging needs of the College, the Province and the communities we aim to serve, we are excited to welcome John Lindsay as incoming Chair of our Board of Directors. We want to acknowledge Barbara Goit for the tremendous leadership provided throughout her time as Chair during a period of pivotal change for post-secondary and the NSCC Foundation and Alumni Relations.
Through the lens of our strategic plan, “Community. Connection. Commitment.” we will build on the work accomplished with Barb at the helm and look forward to this next era with John’s passion for transformational change and access to education as a driving force. Barb will continue as Past Chair where we know she, along with our committed board members, will continue to lead and guide from a place of compassion and vision for lasting impact.
“I have always been impressed by the skills, enthusiasm and commitment that our volunteers bring to the Board and the talents of our staff. Leadership, to me, is knowing how to inspire and work with others to achieve a common goal. My hope is that the NSCC Foundation and Alumni Relations continues to lead the way; working effectively with the College on common and realistic goals to help drive the positive future of our province with competent, educated and skilled workers.”
