Student Awards
NSCC’s Student Awards program offers a broad range of scholarships, awards and bursaries to help increase access to education, celebrate academic success and recognize leadership and community-mindedness.
The awards program also responds to the growing needs of industries across the province through new government and industry partnerships and donor support. Our awards and support programs are designed to remove barriers to graduation and ultimately, the workforce in ways that are responsive to the student and provincial needs. This year, you’ll find increased award offerings for students pursuing careers in skilled trades and healthcare to help clear the pathway to these in-demand sectors.

“It is thanks to the thoughtfulness and consideration of generous award donors that students like me can study with confidence and ease. I am thrilled to have received this award, and it could not have come at a better time for me. Your encouragement and belief in my work has served as a tremendous amount of motivation for me. I am reaching my goals by learning how to help people in different situations with respect and compassion.”
Rebekah R. Medical Office Administration '25, Institute of Technology Campus 2024 Recipient, Dartmouth General Hospital Foundation & Horizon Maritime Mi’kmaq Learners Healthcare Bursary

“I believe that education is often the only opportunity a person has to change their life and their family’s life. Awards like these can be exactly what’s needed for someone to continue studying and seeking a better future, and they can mean everything to the person receiving it.”
Julliane C. Construction Management '25, Ivany Campus 2024 Recipient, The Women Innovating in Nova Scotia (WINS) Bursary
