“The impact of this student award on my education at NSCC is deeply personal and foundational. It doesn't just lighten a financial burden; it directly tackles the daily pressures that often challenge mature students who are balancing school with significant responsibilities.”
Cassandra S.
Business Administration student, Pictou Campus 2025 Recipient, R. G. Sobey Leadership Award

“To tie learning from the Adult Learning Program’s Oceans course to the Northumberland Shore and the Bay of Fundy added so much relevance. We explored diverse coastal ecosystems and the human dependence on ocean environments through fisheries, aquaculture, and more. We also learned about its cultural history through Mi’kmaq legends, Acadian aboiteau structures and stories of European settlement. Funding to make this trip possible was invaluable to student learning.”
