Human rights, equity, inclusion, accessibility and anti-racism (HREIAA)
Together with community, we will act to identify and remove systemic barriers and build capacity for change. We will foster trust and connections that contribute to a foundation of equity and belonging. We will nurture meaningful relationships, co-create innovative and equitable solutions, support community capacity-building, and collaborate to provide culturally relevant supports.
“NSCC’s Office of Human Rights Equity and Inclusion (HREI) recently collaborated with NSCC’s Foundation and Alumni Relations as a proactive means to ensure equity was centred throughout their strategic planning process. Equity is everyone’s responsibility at NSCC and it is through shared lifting that we accomplish levels of transformative change that is often unattainable when we work autonomously. In the spirit of reconciliation, and as an equity-centred college, it is imperative that we continue the shared lifting on all matters of human rights and equity in support of decolonization, dismantling racism and intentionally eliminating all systems of oppression.”
