"As an NSCC employee, I see the endless opportunities which come from participating in international technical assistance programs either virtually from Nova Scotia, or globally. These programs not only enhance professional growth, but also contribute to global goals such as United Nations Sustainable Development Goal #5: "Gender Equity". Through our partnerships, we work together to foster a more interconnected, equitable, and sustainable world. The technical assistance projects I've been involved with through NSCC International share a focus on empowering women, girls, and disadvantaged populations worldwide by strengthening alternative education and employment pathways. Through my experiences, my daughters have learned the transformative power each of us has to contribute to the goal of achieving gender equity for all girls and women."
Anne McDonah

Goal #3: Achieve gender equality and empower all women and girls.
“Employees can use their expertise to help our partner institutes find solutions to their issues. It takes you out of your comfort zone and gives you the opportunity to look at problems from a different perspective.”
Duane Dakin
Academic Chair, School of Fisheries (Shelburne Campus)
Goal #3: Take urgent action to combat climate change and its impacts.
