NSCCA Committee Bursary recipient:

Tanush
Pipe Trades, Institute of Technology Campus
"I would like to express my sincere gratitude for being selected as a recipient of the NSCCA Committee Bursary. My passion for plumbing stems from seeing my father work in the trades. His dedication, problem-solving skills, and craftsmanship inspired me to follow in his footsteps. The Pipe Trades program has already given me valuable knowledge, and I am excited to apply these skills in the workforce after graduation."
"My goal is to build a successful career in the construction industry where I can apply my technical skills, grow into leadership roles, and contribute to building safe, efficient, and sustainable structures in my community. I’m especially interested in residential construction and sprinkler management, and I hope to one day mentor others who are just starting out in the trades, the same way I’ve been supported."
NSCCA Past President's Bursary recipient:

Bowen
Carpentry, Ivany Campus
"This award will help me with my dream of going to NSCC and living in Dartmouth without providing much of a burden to my Mom who’s on a tight budget. It means more to me than you know and I will not let you down by believing in me."
"I just graduated from Liverpool Regional High School and have been working for Mark Oickle Construction this summer and over the past couple of years. I’ve wanted to be a carpenter since I was little. I think because I spent a lot of my time with my Dad puttering on projects as he was disabled and my mom worked, I developed a love of fixing things and building stuff. In the future I hope to get my red seal and start my own business."
