This year, we saw major advancements, including:
- Donor support enabling the Foundation to partner with NSCC in creating an additional 260 skilled trades seats through investments in tools, advanced equipment and classroom upgrades.
- New wind energy training technology for the Electrical Technician program at Kingstec Campus, supported by RBC Foundation, preparing students for careers in Nova Scotia’s rapidly growing renewable energy sector.
- The launch of the Shannex Continuing Care and Nursing Lab at Sydney Waterfront Campus represents Shannex’s long-standing partnership, support and ongoing commitment to the future of health care in Cape Breton.

This past year, RBC Foundation’s generosity helped strengthen the Electrical Technician program at Kingstec Campus by advancing wind energy education and preparing students for careers in Nova Scotia’s rapidly growing renewable energy sector. After enhancing the curriculum with wind energy fundamentals the year prior, RBC Foundation’s support continued through the installation of a Nacelle Wind Turbine Learning System, providing students with cutting-edge, hands-on learning technology that bridges classroom learning with real-world application.
